Conflict Management Training Course – 1 Day
Do certain individuals in your organisation struggle to handle conflict effectively?
Do they sometimes unintentionally escalate tensions rather than resolving them?
Conflict in the workplace is bound to happen—and when handled properly, it can even be productive. But that’s only true if it’s managed with the right strategies and mindset.
This one-day course will equip you with the tools to reduce unnecessary conflict through clearer communication and teach you how to confidently and professionally address issues when conflict does arise.
You’ll leave knowing exactly what to say (and what to avoid) to manage and resolve conflict with calm, clarity, and credibility.
Learning Outcomes
You’ll leave the course able to:
- Resolve conflict quickly and re-establish harmony
- Use logic and calm reasoning over emotion and frustration
- Address situations factually without personalising or emotionalising
- Know when to compromise and when to hold your ground
- Spot the difference between genuine reasons and poor excuses
- Use assertiveness appropriately supported by strong tone and body language
- Reinforce positive behavioural change through praise and appreciation
What Is Conflict Management Training?
This course helps you take control of conflict—before it takes control of you.
You’ll learn how unclear communication often sparks conflict, and how improving your communication habits can drastically reduce misunderstanding and tension.
You’ll also be shown how to respond to real issues like underperformance or unacceptable behaviour—fast and with professionalism.
The longer conflict is left unresolved, the more damaging it becomes. This training ensures you won’t let that happen.
We’ll show you how to remain objective, handle emotionally charged situations without reacting, and maintain control over how you speak and act.
You’ll finish this course equipped with the confidence and skills to prevent, de-escalate, and resolve conflict—without drama or delay.
Course Overview
The day is split into two focused sessions:
• Resolving conflict that stems from clashing ideas, perspectives, or personalities.
• Addressing conflict caused by underperformance or inappropriate behaviour.
We’ll explore how communication errors often cause unnecessary tension. You’ll learn how to express yourself more clearly and constructively, how to handle negativity or social bullying, and how to remain composed under pressure. You’ll also practise using positive, influential language to guide difficult conversations and end on a constructive note.
We dive into more performance-related conflict. You’ll learn to speak factually and rationally—never emotionally—while distinguishing valid reasons from excuses. We’ll also explore body language, vocal tone, and timing, showing you when to compromise and when to stand firm. You’ll learn to be assertive without sounding aggressive—and to use praise and appreciation to reinforce positive change.
By the end of the day, you’ll have a full set of tools to manage conflict with confidence.
